Smooth, dark beer with superb roast malt character and a rich hop and roast malt aroma. Dry in the mouth with burnt malt notes and a hint of liquorice; dry nutty finish.
This recipe is based on the latest edition of Graham Wheeler's book, "Brew your own British Real Ales" and is the 23 litre version.
