Kolsch style beer kit
Why have we chosen this as the first kit we've added since taking over at WHS? Well, because it's one of Steve's favourites.
Simple stunning and a thing of beauty. If you love a lager then this style is fantastic for homebrewing and is fermented at ale temperatures.
Kolsch is a beer with protected status and to officially have the name Kolsch it must be brewed within 31 miles of the centre of Cologne.
Refreshing, floral crisp and crushable. This is often refered to as a hybrid style with its ale temperature fermentation and lagering to condition.
Kolsch is ideal for the home brewer that loves lager. Higher fermentation temperatures reduce the risk of off flavours that are associated with home brewing lager beers.
Everytime I've brewed a Kolsch it's simply been a stunning, straw coloured glass of sunshine. The grains for this kit come pre-crushed.Batch size: 23L
