Full bodied, mid- brown strong bitter with a pleasant rich, grainy mouthfeel. Well balanced flavours, with malt slightly to the fore, merge into a long satisfying finish.
This recipe is based on the latest edition of Graham Wheeler's book, "Brew your own British Real Ales" and is the 23 litre version.
