BLACK ICE STOUT (Randy Mosher’s) Style Recipe Kit


A recipe pack containing all the ingredients to make a clone, all grain version of Randy Mosher's Black Ice Stout.

This smooth-drinking, medium-duty stout takes advantage of the cold-brew method for using black and caramel malts, and is a 23L version.

The pack contains: ( please note all grains come crushed)

Pale Malt (Maris Otter) 3900g

Vienna malt 425g

Carafa 3 malt 368g

Dark munich malt 312g

Special B malt 213g

14g Sabro hops at 60 mins

14g Sabro hops at flame-out/whirlpool

1 pack of S-04 yeast/1 x Protafloc tablet

Alcohol content (ABV) 5.2%


*Very nice with 28g or more of dark toasted oak chips added at the beginning of fermentation. And especially lovely with the zest of one medium-sized orange added at flame-out, OR double the ingredients to make it a monster.
