Hobgoblin, the flagship Ruby Ale of the Oxfordshire's Wychwood Brewery. Accidentally born in 1988. Originally crafted as a one-off wedding ale for a local landlord, the surplus beer was sold locally and became a massive hit.
A full bodied and well balanced ruby beer with a chocolate and toffee malt flavour. Moderate bitterness with a distinctive fruity character. 
Hobgoblin Original or Ruby as it is now more commonly known, is a beer of 2 versions with cask and bottle having different abv. This kit is the cask version and at 4.5% provides a sessionable and beautiful beer. 
S-04 yeast is used to add  a little of that fruity character we remember and loved from the original version of this beer.
